1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of DocMaker. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use DocMaker for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. The Service and Free Use

DocMaker lets you create, clarify, revise, store, and export documents using prompts, templates, uploaded files, and AI models. Features, supported formats, model availability, and output quality may change over time.

The current anonymous service allows up to 20 AI generation or revision actions in a rolling 24-hour period. We may enforce this limit using an anonymous browser identifier and network information. Uploading, browsing templates, and downloading an available export do not by themselves consume this AI-action allowance.

3. Your Content

You retain the rights you have in prompts, text, files, instructions, and other content you submit. You are responsible for that content and must have all rights and permissions needed to provide it to DocMaker.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to host, copy, process, transmit, and format your content only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service and to produce the documents and exports you request.

4. AI-Generated Output

AI-generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or similar to content generated for other users. You must review and, when necessary, edit output before relying on, publishing, signing, or distributing it.

DocMaker does not provide legal, financial, medical, tax, employment, or other professional advice. Generated documents are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional, and templates do not guarantee compliance with laws or suitability for a particular purpose.

As between you and DocMaker, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you may use generated output subject to these Terms and any rights held by third parties. We do not guarantee that output is unique or free of third-party rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use DocMaker to violate law or third-party rights; create or distribute harmful, deceptive, fraudulent, abusive, or infringing material; upload malware or attempt unauthorized access; reverse engineer or disrupt the service; bypass usage limits or security checks; or use automated means to overload or scrape the service without permission.

You must not submit highly sensitive personal information, confidential information you are not authorized to disclose, or content whose processing would violate an agreement or legal obligation.

6. DocMaker Content and Intellectual Property

The service, product design, software, branding, and templates supplied by DocMaker are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of DocMaker technology or branding.

7. Third-Party Services

DocMaker depends on third-party AI, analytics, security, cloud-storage, and document-rendering services. Their availability and processing may affect DocMaker, and your use of third-party services may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party products or websites that we do not control.

8. Availability and Changes

We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of DocMaker, including models, templates, limits, formats, or storage periods. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every request or export will complete successfully.

You are responsible for downloading or otherwise preserving documents you need. Temporary files and export links may expire.

9. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DocMaker is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DocMaker and its operators, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from the service or generated output.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount you paid to use DocMaker during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Because the current MVP is free, this amount may be zero. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict or terminate access when we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created security or legal risk, abused service limits, or interfered with the service. You may stop using DocMaker at any time.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will post revised Terms on this page and update the date shown above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms for future use.
